Ask FRED is your Ultimate Health Coaching Program that tackles Behavioral Change. You will be assigned to a live personal health coach who is part of a wellness team comprised of a nutritionist for weight and nutrition aspect, physical therapist for activity and exercise habits and a nurse for over-all health and wellness. The first 14 to 30 days of the program will be active engagement with your health coach through chat sessions. This is a critical period of understanding your current lifestyle habits, your commitment to the change you want to achieve and where you want to be based on your ultimate goal. As you progress, you will design your program with the guidance of your health coach. Your Health Coach will assist you in setting attainable short-term and long term goals, suggest how to break barriers in achieving these goals, encourage “bounce back” in the event of relapse and teach you to be self reliant in making better and healthier decisions. The schedule called healthline on the Ask Fred app will be the reflection of your progress in the course of the program. From your current lifestyle, the healthline will shift as you hit your goals towards achieving the ultimate goal.
Learning your habits will be handled by your healthline which is the machine part, however, understanding your habits will be handled by Human Compassion. So no, you talk to real healthcare professionals.
Since our coaches are real people and you’re assigned a personal coach, they do have a life outside helping you achieve better habits. On launch, Chat sessions will be available from Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM PST. You may ask questions regarding the program and your health concerns during sessions. You may send offline messages if you wish, rest assured, if you chat beyond the schedule your message will be answered as soon as your health coach is available.
Depends. The program works with your pace. Our pilot suggest that it takes 6 months to get a meaningful habit transformation.
Aside from the obvious accessibility where you can get in touch with your coach anytime during the prescribed operating time, you can get back to your discussion as chats are logged and never deleted. Phone sessions are scheduled, there will be times when you miss to discuss during the session and would have to wait for the next schedule. With chat access, you can ask advice as you please.

Ask FRED’s primary goal is to track your habits and transform them to better ones. Understanding your habits means we have to dig deeper into your general well-being, so we also incorporate your health status. As such, ask FRED also provides your medication reminders and vitals logging like BP and Glucose.
Most fitness trackers have Apple Healthkit Integration, so yes Ask FRED will be able to aggregate your data from your fitness tracker or other fitness apps.
No. Your iphone has an embedded microprocessor that tracks your movement from walking, running, or even taking the stairs. Just make sure that the Motion & Fitness feature is turned on under Settings>Privacy.
